August 5

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of an assault.  Warrant has been obtained.

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of Larceny that occurred at Virginia Barbecue. 

* The Tappahannock Police Department arrested, Gene Frederick Cauthorne, Jr., 29 years old of Dunnsville for DWI:2^nd offense within 5 years, Refusal of blood or breath test, 1^st offense, Texting while driving.

August 6

* Cynthia Gail Washburn, 56 years old of Farnham was arrested for assault and battery that occurred on August 5, 2013.

August 7

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of a counterfeit bill that was passed at the Fas-Mart/Valero.  Case is under investigation.

August 9

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of Larceny that occurred at Tallie's Auto.  Case is under investigation.

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of Domestic Assault that occurred at 112 Winn Court. 

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of an Hit and Run that occurred at 1392 Tappahannock Boulevard/Tappahannock Towne Center.  Case is under investigation.

August 10

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of Larceny that occurred at Wal-Mart.  Case is under investigation.

* The Tappahannock Police Department took a report of Vandalism that occurred at 659 Foxchase Drive Apartment 6.  Case is under investigation.

* The Tappahannock Police Department arrested, Edwin Thomas Lee, 55 years old of Tappahannock for Petit Larceny, 3^rd offense, Destruction of Property, Identity Theft: use to avoid arrest
